Access control is any mechanism by which a system grants or revokes the right to access. An access control system grants access based on certain credentials designed by the user.. The credentials implicated can be a password, a person’s biometrics or an access card. An access control system determines WHO, WHERE AND WHEN a person is allowed to enter or exit an area. Through this granting access can be electronically controlled. Generally entry, break timings, lunch hours and final exit is also recorded and granted access.
